As a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Upper Canada since 2012, Rebecca will seeks to turn every stone when advocating for clients. Using many transferable skills from previous work as a language instructor, a corporate trainer, and a radio talk show presenter, Rebecca is now a successful litigator.
As a paralegal, Rebecca favours courtroom advocacy. For the past five years, Rebecca has primarily represented defendants with Provincial Offences matters on motions, trials, and appeals. Rebecca brings the same skillset to the Small Claims Court with a particular interest in breach of contract cases.
To expand knowledge and further hone legal analytical skills, Rebecca is currently enrolled in second year studies within the University of London law degree (LL.B.) program is currently focusing on the study of contract law, tort law, evidence law, criminal law, public law, and equity & trusts, among other subjects.
Rebecca is an avid runner and has competed in twelve marathons (42 kilometres), five of which were completed in under three hours with a personal record of two hours fifty-seven minutes in the 2014 County Marathon in Picton as the top female finisher.
